Audrey Kawasaki

I love how Audrey Kawasaki’s paintings are sensual, innocent and erotic. They are beautiful and haunting, innovative, unique and attractive yet disturbing. Take a look at her gallery at audrey-kawasaki.com.

Audrey’s distinct style is influenced by manga comics as well as Art Nouveau.

Fractals: Hunting the hidden dimension

I have just read that Mandelbrot recently died. I had never heard of this mathematician before about a few months ago. These are shapes you may never have heard of, but they’re everywhere – jagged repeating forms called fractals. Also known as the Mandelbrot Set. If you know what to look for, you can find them in the clouds, in mountains, trees and every living creature. Benoit Mandelbrot begins using computers to explore solving problems in math in 1958. Computers helped him to understand patterns in nature in a new way. He used the term fractal to describe them and developed the Mandelbrot set in 1980.

Influencers film

Just found this inspiring little documentary on influencers in culture and really enjoyed it. It makes a great point at the end about how things are changing again now with social media.

the guide to using wordpress as a CMS

Inspired mag put out a good article on wordpress as a CMS, and a bit of a users guide here. They also touch on a few good plugins. I agree with that list and have used most of those on the sites I’ve built.

Enjoy.
