Amazing tutorials from Themeforest blog

Here are some killer tutorials and from the Theme forest blog which cover the basics of the languages that I currently teach (HTML, CSS, PHP and jQuery). If you’re just starting there are some really excellent beginner videos and source files. Jeffery Way is the man!

Rockable Press books

I’ve told my students these books are not mandatory textbooks but have suggested them as a great resource to check out. Anyone who is just getting started with web, HTML, CSS, and designing for web will find this “Photoshop to HTML” book useful (plus they have a ninja on the cover, who doesn’t love ninjas?). They also have a book on how to be a “Rockstar” wordpress designer which is very well written.

Photoshop to HTML tutorials by Jeffrey Way

Jeffrey Way has produced some great coding tutorials which are available free online. Creating the design in photoshop can be found here. The coding on converting this design from PSD to HTML, can be found here once you’ve completed the design. They are well worth checking out if you’ve ever had any questions about converting a PSD to HTML/CSS.
